Church Girls' League
Church Girls League (CGL) is a youth group for girls and young women aged 5 to 18. We meet at St. James Parish Hall on Tuesdays at 6:30pm from September to May. The well-rounded program focuses on community service (like visits to the local nursing home), life skills (like first aid and sewing), and wellness (like nutrition and active living). CGL empowers young women to be responsible, independent and knowledgeable in a variety of areas.
CGL is open to everyone regardless of denomination or level of involvement in the parish. We welcome all girls to participate in weekly activities as well as in our badge program. Badges can be earned in hospitality, volunteering, cooking, safety, swimming, knot tying, pet care, environment, public speaking, and many more. We will open and close each Tuesday evening with a prayer and inspire the girls to set personal goals for themselves. In between, they will learn lessons that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives...all while having a great time!
